The Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA) Football Playoff Semifinal for DIVISION 4 was at the Withington Community Stadium / Dungy Field (a neutral field) in Jackson Mi.
It was a 3-hour trip to Jackson where we enjoyed night-time temperatures in the low 40’s accompanied by a driving down pour for the first 2 quarters before it settled down to a drizzle and finally stopped for the last quarter.
It was more than worth it when the Edwardsburg Eddies stuck to their ground game to beat River Rouge and earn a trip to state finals where the Eddies (12-1) takes on defending state champion and undefeated Grand Rapids Catholic Central.
Good luck to the Eddies this coming Friday where they play their final game at Ford Field in Detroit.
